BRW Sp. z o. o. – one of the Group’s largest factories – has been awarded PN ISO 14001:2005 certificate which confirms the introduction and application of environmental management system in the area of ‘Furniture and furniture fronts designing, production and sales’. It means that the company complies with legal norms and improves its processes so that its products meet ecological requirements.

All furniture from the Black Red White product range possess required durability certificates and meet the EU standards.

Moreover, the factory in Biłgoraj has its own heat and power plant converting biomass into energy. The plant is certified as a green energy manufacturer. Due to such a solution the factory is partly self-sufficient and energy surpluses are sold to external subjects.

In order to provide constant control over manufacturing by-products, the Group’s companies keep permanent records of:
•    gases and dusts emitted into the air,
•    data which define these quantities ,
•    quantity, condition and composition of sewage introduced into the soil and waters,
•    size, type and way of organization of the area from where sewage comes from.

The Black Red White Group systematically performs environment protection duties:
1)    provides recycling of packaging waste,
2)    pays product fees,
3)    fulfills duties in accordance with the used electric and electronic equipment act
4)    pays fees for using the environment by virtue of gases and dusts emission from fuel-burning processes in internal-combustion engines as well as a duty of keeping and submitting records of data referring to emission of harmful substances into the air,
5)    obtains permits to introduce gases and dusts into the air
6)    obtains permits to produce waste
7)    obtains permits required by Water Law Act referring to special use of waters.

The promotion of innovative ecological solutions earned BLACK RED WHITE SA a title of the Polish Ecology Partner - awarded in 2008 by the National Ecology Council as a part of the IX edition of National Ecological Competition entitled ‘Environmentally-Friendly’.
